Familiar Faces Help Move Land Exchange Forward

An essential element of the Resolution Copper project is federal legislation that will allow us to continue our exploration work and design an efficient, environmentally responsible mine. As Congress considers the land exchange, we remain optimistic about the process and committed to a positive outcome. We have the support of organizations such as the National Mining Association that are working towards reasonable mining law reform and educating national leaders. Our parent company, Rio Tinto, has been and continues to be committed to the Resolution Copper Project. And our strongest and most passionate support continues to come from the residents of the Superior area.

Recently, we've featured some local citizens in a far-reaching campaign designed to encourage our leaders in Congress to move quickly forward to pass the land exchange. The campaign includes open letters to leaders heralding, “We're Counting on You” and “We Need the Jobs.” Print ads feature local families who are relying on the project as their economic stimulus package and a YouTube channel hosts a video with stories of real people and what our project means to them, their families and their community. The campaign messages are frank, hard-hitting and an expression of our commitment to the project, which will help multi-generational Arizona families to remain in the community they love and to prosper from the hard work and ingenuity that is the hallmark of our state.
