Message From David Salisbury
As we continue our work to design and develop the Resolution Copper project, we remain committed. We remain committed to producing copper the world increasingly needs as its citizens embrace alternative energy products, many of which rely on copper. We remain committed to creating sustainable economic development. We know this project–and the thousands of jobs it will create–is critical to families in the Copper Triangle and can provide the stimulus our communities and schools need to thrive.
The employees of Resolution Copper are working to design a mine that is sensitive to the ecosystem. In their off hours, many of these same employees volunteer their time to better the community and the natural surroundings. Their work is a powerful expression of our unwavering commitment to protect and preserve Arizona's unique environment.
But to achieve those goals, we first need passage of federal legislation that will provide Arizonans with more than 5,000 acres of high-quality land and give us access to the areas necessary for us to design an efficient, environmentally responsible project.
While advancing land exchange legislation through Congress has been a long journey, we remain committed to the process. Senators McCain and Kyl continue to champion the land exchange in the Senate. We also appreciate the efforts of Representative Kirkpatrick to progress the House version of the bill. However, this critical legislation needs continued attention and quick action from all of our Congressional leaders. Their outright, aggressive support of the land exchange is critical, and the sooner the better.
To that end, we recently launched a broad-reaching campaign to raise awareness of our project and its benefits. The campaign encourages Arizonans to actively push for passage of the land exchange bill. You can learn more about the campaign and ways you can get involved by visiting us online at SecureArizonasFuture.com.
The political path we are on is difficult. However, we are committed to see the land exchange through because the benefits are worth it to Arizona and the nation. As we move forward, we remain committed to building strong partnerships with local communities, political leaders and, most importantly, with you.
Thank you for your commitment and your ongoing involvement as we work toward a future of success.
Sincerely,

David Salisbury
