In Our Communities

Community Interaction

Our stakeholders—those individuals and groups external to the company who influence our ability to succeed—deserve open and honest communication about our business approach. These stakeholders include residents and business owners; community and educational leaders from Superior, Arizona, and surrounding areas; civic and environmental organizations; and local, regional and state government officials.

We also realize that good relations with the communities in which we operate are fundamental to our success. We will be remembered long after we are gone, not just for the success of the mine, but for the ways in which we have listened and responded to our neighbors’ concerns and contributed to the social, environmental and economic development of the Town of Superior and surrounding communities.

We interact in a variety of ways, including:
  • Face-to-face forums, written surveys and needs assessments that take the pulse of the community and other Resolution Copper stakeholders.
  • Charitable donations and other programs targeted at community development, education and environmental initiatives, including in-kind donations, scholarships and company internships.
  • Partnerships with civic, educational, environmental, regional and state organizations on programs that advance environmental, economic and social well-being.
  • Involvement in and support of community committees aimed at furthering community development and economic diversification in Superior and surrounding communities.

Open House at Resolution Copper

We sometimes host open houses at our corporate headquarters in Superior and at venues in surrounding communities including Superior, Kearny, Hayden, Winkelman, San Carlos, Globe and Miami. These informal meetings give our neighbors the chance to learn about project progress, discuss issues and visit with Resolution Copper management and staff. At meetings held at our corporate headquarters, our neighbors can tour the renovated Verde Building—a site of historical significance to Superior.

We will continue to engage with the community on a regular basis, and details of upcoming open houses and other events are available by emailing info@resolutioncopper.com.
