Health, Safety and Environmental Policy

THE STANDARD

At Resolution Copper we follow the principle of sustainable development, which takes into account social, environmental and economic considerations in the decision making process.

Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) excellence is fundamental to sustainable development and to Resolution Copper’s long-term business success. We believe that:

  • All injuries, occupational illnesses and environmental incidents are preventable. Our goal: zero injuries, zero occupational illnesses, and no environmental incidents.
  • Compliance with Rio Tinto standards, relevant government standards, and other requirements is expected. Compliance is assured through hiring quality staff and contractors, providing proper training, and enforcing requirements through ISO and other audits.
  • HSE systems and practices are established to promote injury-free workplaces and will prevent, minimize, or control adverse impacts. Rick assessed work procedures for fundamental tasks are required.
  • Every person who works at Resolution Copper is responsible for his or her performance. Adherence to HSE practices and standards is a condition of employment.
  • Every person who works at Resolution Copper will receive training on essential HSE aspects of their work.
  • HSE goals and targets are set for all relevant aspects of our business through our ISO 14001 certified program. Continual improvements are expected and measured.
  • Openness and transparency are important elements of HSE success. We will communicate our progress our goals both internally and externally.
