Upcoming 2007 Sustainable Development Report Highlights Achievements, Challenges, Plans
Every year Resolution Copper reports publicly on its progress in three important areas: social well-being, economic development and environmental stewardship. Last year’s achievements and challenges in these areas are highlighted in our 2007 Sustainable Development Report which will be available on the Resolution Copper website and via a summary printed brochure. Both forms of the Report will be available in May.
The report provides an overview of Resolution Copper, its business practices, and its social, environmental and economic initiatives. Key content includes:
• A message from our new president, David Salisbury.
• 2007 Scorecard – how well we performed against 2007 sustainable development targets.
• Our specific targets for 2008 in key business areas including health and safety, commitment to workforce, environmental stewardship, community and government relations, market reputation, operational excellence, and financial strength.
This year’s report was reviewed in advance by an external group of Resolution Copper stakeholders from government agencies, non-government organizations and academia. Input was gathered via a formal survey, and feedback was used to not only better understand areas of interest or concern, but to help shape content of the final report.
The 2007 Sustainable Development Report will be available online as a downloadable PDF file and web-based Report. The printed summary brochure may be requested by emailing info@resolutioncopper.com.
We encourage anyone who reads our 2007 Sustainable Development Report to complete the brief online survey. Your feedback, opinions and suggestions will help us provide the range and depth of information needed in future sustainable development reports.
