Sustainable Business Development

At Resolution Copper Mining, sustainable development is both a business imperative and a part of our everyday working culture.

Leading mining companies have in the past been criticized for poor environmental and social performance. However, through the
Global Mining Initiative (GMI), formed in 2000, the industry has committed itself to improved performance and better relations with governments, communities and non-government organizations. A founder of GMI, Rio Tinto has made sustainable development a part of how all business units function, as explained in its statement of global business practice, The way we work.

At RCM, we include sustainability considerations in all business planning and decision-making processes, then use a systematic approach to ensure these practices are woven into the fabric of our day-to-day business operations.
