Joe Garr

Joe Garr is the information systems and technology (IS&T) manager for Resolution Copper and is responsible for the company’s IS&T department, information management and facilities.

Joe has more than 20 years experience in the information technology sector, having worked in a broad range of technical disciplines for leading companies including Motorola, NDC Health and Complete Business Solutions, Inc. He also has multisite management experience that spans the United States and Asia. Before joining Resolution Copper, Joe was an independent information consultant specializing in technical projects including project management, client relations, acquisitions and contract management.

Joe has a bachelor of science degree in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.

 

 

Rich Heig

Rich Heig joined Resolution Copper Mining in November 2006 as vice president, pre-feasibility study. Rich is responsible for studies that enable Resolution Copper to define and test the potential ore body, evaluate how to proceed in reaching the deposit and estimate the cost and resources required to move forward. Rich also manages environmental investigations and ensures that needed permits for new mine development are obtained.

Rich has more than 30 years experience in the mining industry, including the past 20 years with Rio Tinto group companies such as Kennecott Utah Copper. He has broad knowledge of base metal (copper, molybdenum, lead, zinc) and precious metal production (gold and silver) and has participated in mining projects throughout many countries.

Rich is a past member of the Alaska Minerals Commission, appointed by the state Senate. He holds a Metallurgical Engineering degree from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.

Rich has been an invited guest speaker on the subject of mining at a number of events, including the National Academies in Washington, D.C.

 

 

David Hofeling

Dave Hofeling is Resolution Copper’s financial operations officer/controller and is responsible for the company’s finance and control procedures.

Before joining Resolution Copper, Dave spent six years with Rio Tinto’s North American Exploration division with oversight for international financial reporting and accounting for the US, Canada and Mexico. He also established the group’s shared services accounting department.

For six years, Dave worked at a Nevada gold mine where he was accountable for the operation’s finances. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from the University of Utah.

 

 

Richard Lock

Richard Lock is project director for Resolution Copper, responsible for the pre-feasibility studies and associated on-site activities at the Resolution Project.

Richard has more than 20 years experience in the mining industry, having begun his career with De Beers-Anglo American at its operations in South Africa. Richard then joined Rio Tinto’s Diavik Diamonds Project (Diavik) at Lac de Gras in Canada, where he took the project from discovery to production.

Most recently, Richard completed a large oil sands mining project in Alberta, Canada, for Canadian Natural Resources Limited, an independent oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company.

Richard holds a bachelor of science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom.

 

 

Jennifer Russo

Jennifer Russo is corporate communications director for Resolution Copper, responsible for executing and directing the company’s advertising, public relations, marketing communications, internal communications, government affairs and community affairs programs.

Before joining Resolution Copper, Jennifer held positions at Giant Industries and American Golf Corporation where she led marketing, public relations and community affairs.

Jennifer has also worked closely with various civic and community groups. She serves as a board member with Valley Forward and is on the business advisory committee of Audubon Arizona.

Jennifer holds a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism from Arizona State University with a minor in Spanish. She is also a graduate of the London Business School’s Emerging Leaders Program, and holds a postgraduate certificate from Cambridge University in Cross-sector Partnership. Jennifer received her postgraduate diploma from The Open University in the United Kingdom.

Jennifer has been a guest speaker at area chambers, nongovernment organizations and conferences locally and nationally.

 

 

David Salisbury

David Salisbury is president of Resolution Copper Mining and is responsible for managing the strategy, direction and development of the Resolution Project.

David joined Resolution Copper’s parent company, Rio Tinto, in 1993 and has held a series of management positions within the corporation, including general manager at the company’s Cordero operations in Wyoming, managing director at Rossing Uranium Mine in Namibia, and a position within the company’s global business overseeing its Improving Performance Together initiative. David served most recently as president and CEO of Kennecott Minerals, which operates Greens Creek Mine in Alaska, Rawhide Mine in Nevada, and is a nonoperating joint venture partner in the Cortez Gold Mine in Nevada.

David holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University and a MBA in International Business from the University of South Carolina. He is also a registered Professional Engineer.

Larry Stevens is the general counsel for Resolution Copper and is responsible for the oversight of the company’s legal affairs.

Larry has focused exclusively on environmental, natural resources and energy, and commercial litigation for more than 30 years. In addition to his responsibilities at Resolution Copper, Larry also maintains his role as shareholder/litigation with Parsons, Behle & Latimer, one of the largest law firms in the Intermountain West.

Larry obtained a bachelor of science degree from the University of Utah and his JD from the University of Utah College of Law.

 

 

Dick Stilgenbauer

Richard Stilgenbauer is human resources manager for Resolution Copper, responsible for employment, record retention, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration and training, and employee development.

Before joining Resolution Copper, Dick spent 18 years with Phelps Dodge Mining Company as a human resource manager, and seven years at Sandusky Plastics Inc. as vice president of human resources. He also devoted 12 years as a graduate business instructor for the University of Phoenix.

Dick has more than 20 years experience in mining, having worked in Arizona and New Mexico.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Akron. He also holds an MBA in Systems Management from Baldwin-Wallace College.
