Doing Business With Us
Resolution Copper relies on a number of suppliers of both goods and services. For example, we contract with many outside companies to supply skilled contractors who supplement and strengthen our workforce. We also take into account the impact our operation can have on local businesses in Arizona. Of the $85 million spent on the Resolution Project at Superior in 2009, a considerable percentage was spent on local purchases of goods and services.
Resolution Copper expects to participate in a fair and competitive marketplace and to provide a fair evaluation and selection process to all prospective suppliers of goods and services. Our procurement systems require that contracting opportunities be publicized to suppliers deemed capable of meeting our requirements.
Awards are made to those suppliers who are able to meet our business units' stated needs and required standards. When considering a potential supplier, we weigh all relevant factors, including health, safety, environment, quality, service, competitive pricing, technical abilities and consistency with our values.
